With an apprenticeship, you can pick up the valuable engineering skills you need to progress, along with a qualification.

The engineering industry includes some of the most knowledgeable people around. It always helps to find Twitter and Linkedin pages from people who are well know in the sector. Following these pages will give you a great insight into the industry. You could even try contacting these professionals with questions and with luck, you may get expert replies!
Interview skills
If you are not used to an interview environment, it would be highly beneficial if you start practicing. To get into the engineering industry you will need to either attend university, complete an apprenticeship or get a relevant job. All three of these things will rely on you making it through interviews. A great way to practice is to ask your family or friends to interview you with on the spot questions.
